Miami Mayor Francis Suarez says the city will issue a request for a proposal this month to enable residents to pay fees, and someday perhaps taxes, in bitcoin (BTC-USD), he told Bloomberg in a television interview. "I want us to differentiate ourselves as a crypto capital of the United States or of the world." Recall in February, Suarez expressed his desire for Miami to embrace bitcoin (BTC-USD); now he says it's "a major priority" for the city to be able to pay government employees in BTC.
