Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO Tim Cook reveals that he owns cryptocurrency and believes digital assets are "reasonable" to own as part of a diversified portfolio, he told CNBC in a recorded interview. Cook says he had been interested in crypto "for a while" and that he'd been researching the topic. However, he rejects the possibility of Apple (AAPL) buying crypto with corporate funds as an investment. "I wouldn't go invest in crypto, not because I wouldn't invest my own money, but because I don't think people buy Apple stock to get exposure to crypto." Cook also mentions in regards to looking at crypto technology that it's "not something we have immediate plans to do." In the meantime, the megacap allows crypto wallet apps on its iPhone App Store, though it prohibits mining apps, CNBC notes. Shares of AAPL inch higher by 0.3% intra-day, while Bitcoin (BTC-USD) gains 0.6% to $66.7K.
