Jittery Ethereum traders lighten up ahead of CME futures launch

Ether (ETH-USD) futures are hours away from arrival at the [[CME]], with trade in the 2nd-most popular of cryptos set to begin at 6 PM ET.Those with even modest memories will remember that the beginning of Bitcoin (BTC-USD) futures trade at the CME in late 2017 nearly perfectly coincided with the (then) epic top in that crypto.Possibly worried that lightning is about to strike twice, Ether traders - after having bid up the price to a record $1,750 on Saturday morning - have been selling heavily since. At current pixel time, Ether is changing hands at $1,560.The action has chilled the price of Bitcoin as well - that's down to $38.1K after nearly hitting $41K about 24 hours ago.
