Bitcoin declared winner in Georgia election

Rising right alongside the chances for a Democratic sweep in the Georgia Senate races is the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin (BTC-USD) rose steadily throughout the evening yesterday, shooting to a new all-time high of $35.6K late last night after Raphael Warnock was declared the winner of his race. The other contest remains too close to call, but if Jon Ossoff wins, that would hand control of both houses of Congress to the Democrats. That would seem to mean easier fiscal policy, and less pressure on the Fed to ever ease back on the monetary spigots. It might also mean a friendlier regulatory environment for crypto. At the margin, that's more of a bull case for the hodlers. At the moment, bitcoin is up more than 11% to $35K, and Ether (ETH-USD) is higher by 11.5% to $1,148.Possible movers this morning: Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), Grayscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE), Microstrategy (MSTR), Riot Blockchain (RIOT), Marathon Patent (MARA).
