Valkyrie filed Thursday for the Valkyrie U.S. Innovative Balance Sheet ETF, which will provide exposure to U.S. companies that directly or indirectly invest in, transact in or otherwise have exposure to Bitcoin (BTC-USD) on their balance sheet. The ETF will invest 80% of its assets in "innovative-balance sheet" firms. The other 20% may be allocated towards the broader Bitcoin ecosystem, including things like crypto-trading platforms, miners, custodians and digital-wallet providers. However, the ETF won't invest in Bitcoin directly, or indirectly through the use of derivatives. According to a prospectus filed with the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission, the ETF will be actively managed and will trade on the New York Stock Exchange.
