Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) partners with the National Basketball Association ("NBA") on a multi-year deal, the company says, according to CoinDesk. Shares of (COIN +2.7%) rise to its highest level since mid-May following Facebook's (NASDAQ:FB) decision to choose the crypto exchange as its custody partner for a pilot of Novi. The deal extends to the Women's National Basketball Association ("WNBA"), NBA G League, NBA 2K League and USA Basketball, CoinDesk reports. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The move comes just a week after Coinbase (COIN) pushes into the non-fungible token market to make minting and trading NFTs easier, signing up more than 1.35M people for its not-yet-launched NFT platform, as of Oct. 14.
